CONSTRUCTION PARAMETERS:

The Medium Voltage Primary Underground Distribution (UD) cables consist of an Aluminum (filled or unfilled) Class B stranded compressed or compact conductor

INSULATION: covered with tree-retardant cross-linked polyethylene (TR-XLPE), a concentric neutral of helically applied copper wires, and a low linear density polyethylene

INSULATION COLOR: Black with 3 extruded longitudinal red stripes.

 

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:

Suitable for underground primary power applications for wet or dry locations.

TEMPERATURE RANGE: Designed to operate continuously at a conductor temperature not exceeding

  • 90°C for normal operations
  • 130°C for emergency overload
  • 250°C for short circuit

ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES

VOLTAGE RATING: For CT USE for 1/0 AWG and larger, per UL® 1072 Available in 2 AWG through 1000 KCMIL
